We got back from our fun Disney adventures and we were welcomed with ANOTHER snow storm!! This time Atlanta was more prepared and the weather did not catch the city quite as off guard. So we were able to enjoy a day or two playing in the snow! We did have to miss school because of the snow and their Valentine's Day party had to be postponed.
Lyla loved making footprints!
My cute little snow angel.
We had so much fun being snowed in with our neighbors. Our neighborhood is full of young families and we are loving getting to know them. We walked up to the cul-de-sac up around the corner from us and had so much fun spending the afternoon sledding down the steep driveways and being pulled around in a fun old-fashioned sled. Lyla loved playing with all the older kids.
And of course we loved playing with baby Logan, Jessica and Jimmy's little boy. It is so fun being in the same neighborhood as them. Jessica and I met at Northside when we started our nursing careers and have stayed friends. Now we are getting to watch our babies grow up together which is so fun!!
Logan and Lyla loved being pulled around in another neighbor's sled. He is such a great little one for Lyla to practice on before she welcomes her baby brother!! He is actually one of the reasons she has gotten so excited about having a baby brother. She says she wants a brother just like Logan!
Isn't he just the CUTEST?!
He reminded me of The Christmas Story kid. He literally could not put his arms all the way down and it was so funny. He is seriously too cute!
Lyla loved eating the snow!
She even tried an icicle!
Her cute snow covered playhouse!
Of course I got cold, and she was happy playing outside, so I enjoyed watching her from inside in the safety of our warm house!
We finished up our snow day with hot chocolate and marshmallows of course! The snow melted pretty quickly the next day, so our second snow storm was short lived. It was a cold winter for sure for our southern blood!
23weeks and 4 days
Feeling good and starting to show even more!
Of course we did lots of dress up being cooped up inside on these cold days. This is one of Aunt Allison's ballet tutus from her dancing days! I am so glad my mom saved all of her recital tutus because Lyla has loved dressing up in them!
We met friends at the park to celebrate a late (due to the snow) Valentines Day. All the kids got to make little Valentine's for their little friends and they had so much fun passing them out to each other.
Sweet Anne.
Of course we had to make sure they had lots of sweet treats to eat as well!
Sweet Hannah.
I love her hair up in a bun. I just think she looks so sweet and so grown up!!
Little Emma. And yes, this is just a week after our second snow storm. Short sleeves and sunshine!! Crazy Atlanta weather!!
Ansley, Katherine and Jack.
Lyla loved that Ansley was dressed as Anna. She kept saying, "my friend that is Anna". She had such fun playing with her!
We had a fun play date with Kelly and Caroline at the aquarium. Kelly is pregnant with twins and due at the end of July. So we are just a few weeks apart and I love that our babies will be so close! It is so fun having a close friend pregnant at the same time and going through it all together.
Lyla wanting to hold Caroline's hand.
Caroline is not so sure...
...but she gives in. Sweet girl!
25weeks and 3 days
I am feeling good and at that sweet spot in my pregnancy where I have a ton of energy. It is always nice to get that energy back before the home stretch rather than always feeling like a lazy bum. I am going to write a whole "pregnancy" post, but I must say I have found it interesting that when I was pregnant with Lyla, I was always craving something specific. Like I knew what I wanted and I had to have it right then. With this pregnancy, other than a few weeks in my first trimester....nothing. No cravings at.all. I loved having cravings with Lyla, so I do miss that for sure. I am actually at a point where usually nothing sounds good and I just have to force myself to pick something to eat. It's kind of a weird feeling. Not really being hungry for anything. It is amazing how different pregnancies can be!
