Easter Weekend

What a fun Easter week we have had!! We started off the week by going to the Library for an Easter Egg hunt with the girls from my small group. I am so loving having a community of women that live close by, where we can raise our children together. The kids love being together and I love getting to know these other moms. I feel so blessed that God put them in my life!

Too cute.
We got to play with Tripp and Nicole this week too, which was long over-due. We took the kids to the park and they played on the playground. We ate lunch and then they got to feed the geese and play in the water. So glad we got time with them!

Then we packed up and headed to TEXAS to visit SARAH with Allison and Dan! We are so thankful we had a weekend away to spend time with her. We stayed with my Aunt and Uncle, and my cousins were home for the weekend as well so it was a house full. Dan's sister lives in Dallas now, so she was able to spend time with us as well which was so fun to have her with us! What a great time we had!! We shopped, ate, and LAUGHED ALOT! It is always so great being with the Meier's. It was so relaxing and nice to get away. Needless to say we were sad to come home. Lyla did A-MAZING on the flight there. She could not have been better. We planned to fly at dinner time, so she could get her afternoon nap in and then eat dinner on the plane. I brought lots of fun new toys and snacks and she stayed entertained. We flew with Allison and Dan, which helped out tremendously.

Looking out the window.
Sitting in the seat like a big girl.
On Saturday we went to The Stockyards in Fort Worth, which we had never done before. It was so fun walking around, seeing all the fun things that make Texas, Texas. Lyla had a blast seeing all the animals and feeding them at the petting zoo. She loved watching the train. Then we went to Sarah's church on Saturday night for Easter service since we were already in Fort Worth.
Lyla with Aunt Sarah, checking out the reindeer.

Not sure about the big horse.

"What's in this one?"

Love them.

Rare to capture a good family picture.

Texas long horn.

Walking the streets of Fort Worth.

The girls.

Watching the choo-choo- train.

Feeding the goats. Her favorite thing. She would have stayed here all day and cried when we left. Guess she has the "love for animal" gene...sorry daddy.

"Let me feed you goat"

So soft.

Baby goat.

Before church.

Sunday we slept in and then had a big lunch with the Meier side of the family. We loved being able to be apart of their Easter Celebration. Lunch was so yummy. The only downside was that there was a major thunderstorm and downpour so Lyla was not able to have her Easter egg hunt. So sad! So we will have to do it this week. And in case you had not already had this thought, yes the rain made for a HORRIBLE trip home. We were supposed to leave at the same time we had flown in, so Lyla had her nap and then would eat dinner on the plane. We got a call before we left for the airport that our flight was delayed an hour....not too bad. Then we got to the airport and found out that Dan and Allison had been moved to a different flight and our flight was even more delayed. So it ended up that we did not leave DFW until 8pm their time which means 9pm our time and we did not land until 10:30pm. Yes, Lyla cried, no screamed the majority of the flight....not her fault. She was so tired!! We did not get home until 11:30pm and we were all exhausted and glad to be able to fall into bed. We were so sad to leave Sarah!

Ready for my easter egg hunt.

"What do you mean there will be no easter egg hunt?!"

Love my family.

Yes, Allison and Dan were really there.

All the cousins.

The Duncan's.
I am so sad that I did not pull my camera out more. I am so bad about taking picture and wish I was better about remembering. My Uncle Kent took some other ones, so I will have to get them from him. Thank you Aunt Pauline, Uncle Kent, William and Emily for having us!
