Labor Day Beach Trip 2013

After leaving the happiest place on earth, our vacation continued at the beach! We grabbed some lunch and headed to MawMaw's (Adam's grandmother) house in Bradenton. Adam's parents were already there and Jonathan and Kara were headed up that evening with Dalton. We were ready for some fun in the sun!! We unloaded and headed straight for the beach!

Anna Marie Island is beautiful!! The sand is white, there were tons of seashells for Lyla to find and the water was a beautiful blue.

Love this little beach bum. She could live on the beach! I love how easy going to the beach is with her at this stage!

There was lots of snuggles with Pawpaw. Lyla loves to help him play Sudoku on his iPad.

Jonathan and Kara made it in late that evening and we headed back out to the beach first thing the next morning. Lyla could not wait to get back out there.

Dalton and Lyla had SO much fun playing together on the beach as well as in the condo. Makes my heart so sad that we do not live closer to each other and they will not grow up together. I do love seeing, however, no matter how much time has passed in between visits, they play so well together and it is like no time has passed. I guess thank goodness for technology so that they can see each other even though we are so far apart.

They love each other so much!!

He literally is the most sweet, happy baby! Not to mention the cutest!

Needless to say, I think he enjoyed the beach time as well!

I mean, come on!

Seriously such a perfectly beautiful day on a gorgeous beach!

Thank goodness for FUN daddies!! So thankful for these two and what amazing dads they are. Our kids are so lucky to have them (as are their wives ;) ).

I was amazed...hardly ANY waves.

There was lots of playing in the sand.

And Dalton decided it was even good to eat the sand!

Hard at work.

We ate lunch at the beach and then headed home for naps. Us adults got some alone time at the pool. Thank goodness for grandparents who let us take the time to relax!! They even took care of the kids while we went to the outlet mall and hit up the deals for Labor Day. So thankful for them!

After naps, we got ready and headed out for dinner.

Lyla had fun looking for lizards...Dalton had fun watching Lyla.

We went to The Lazy Lobster for dinner and it was super yummy!!

Jonathan, Kara and MawMaw headed back to the house with Dalton for bedtime. The rest of us made a little stop for ice cream! You can never have too much ice cream when you are at the beach!

Someone truly enjoys eating her ice cream!

I don't think she could be any cuter. I love these pictures!

We got lots of time in the pool as well. MawMaw lives in a retirement village where you have to be 50 or older to live (I believe). They have LOTS of rules. And they are VERY strict about their rules. Most made us laugh. Unfortunately, you have to be potty trained in order to go in the pool, so Dalton could not get in. But Lyla totally enjoyed swimming and having the pool practically to herself.

She is doing SO well with her swimming skills. I am so impressed that she can swim all by herself.

Loves to jump in.

Snuggle time with Uncle Jonathan.

These cousins are too cute together. Seriously melt my heart.

They loved having some playtime before bedtime.

Love those babies in jammies!

We celebrated Adam's birthday (his actual birthday is the 4th) while we were all together.

Yummy cake.

Sweet Dalton.

We had some much fun being with everyone (minus David). It is always time cherished when we can get together as a family. I love seeing Dalton and Lyla together and I know Adam loves to spend the time with his family since they are all spread out. Always sad to leave the beach. We LOVED being guests at MawMaw's house and CANNOT wait to go back! Thanks for hosting us!
