TCU Pool

Needless to say, we did a lot of swimming while in Texas. Our first pool stop was the pool on campus at TCU.

After Sarah got home from work on Tuesday afternoon, we headed over to the TCU pool.

This summer has been so crazy with rain and cooler weather. It had been the same for Texas, so unfortunately for me, the pools have still not warmed up. Lyla on the other hand, does not care one little bit. Haha.

Lyla tool two sessions of swim lessons before we headed to Texas. She has no fear what so ever especially when it comes to the pool! I love that about her, but it also scares me a little bit.

Lucky for me, she listens really well, especially when it comes to the pool rules. I will write more on her swimming skills and how well they have developed this summer (she is swimming by herself). At this point though, she was still needing some assistance in the pool, as far as catching her when she jumped in, getting from one point to another using her big arms and kicking, remembering to blow bubbles and keep her mouth closed, and floating on her back. She is all smiles when she is in the pool. This girl is a fish and could literally live in the pool all day every day.

This girl loves to jump in.

Swim swim swim!

She does really well getting out of the pool on her own.

I love that she loves to swim. It is such a fun, healthy activity for her to do. It also is such a great way for her to release all that energy she has. She sleeps amazingly after a morning or afternoon swim.
